Research at the Heart of Conservation
Research is an integral part of Kaingo's conservation approach.
Â
By building knowledge of the reserve's biodiversity, ecosystems, archaeology and changing landscape, research helps inform conservation management and contributes to a broader understanding of the Waterberg.

Kaingo provides researchers with access to a diverse natural and historical landscape, together with dedicated facilities and accommodation designed to support field-based research. Projects are undertaken in collaboration with universities, museums, conservation organisations and other research institutions in South Africa and internationally.
